An electric rental car is quiet and economical, but takes a little more planning. Here's how to decide whether it suits your trip.
When is an EV handy?
For city trips and short drives an electric car is ideal: quiet, clean and often cheap to charge. In countries with a good charging network you drive without worries.
Mind the range
Doing long days or heading to remote areas? Then check the range and whether there are enough charging points on the way. In the mountains or in heat the range can disappoint.
Charging and paying
Ask at pick-up which charge card or app you need and whether the car is delivered with a (nearly) full battery. Fast charging on the road is convenient but pricier than charging at home.
