Barajas has four terminals; the rental desks are concentrated at T1 and T4. Your confirmation states which terminal your company uses and how to get there (free shuttle between terminals). Bring licence, passport or ID, voucher and a credit card in the main driver's name.
Toledo is about 75 km (under an hour), Segovia about 95 km and Ávila about 115 km. Salamanca takes just over two hours (approx. 215 km). The autovías (A-roads) are free; only the radial R-roads around Madrid charge tolls and are usually easy to avoid.
